First MAJOR MOJO Review On Amazon

April 1, 2009 by admin

The MAJOR MOJO is out for two days and a customer, Barry Hill, posted the first review on Amazon. Is this beast worth the price tag ($89,95)? Does it work well with your iPhone?

(REAL NAME)

My MAJOR MOJO just arrived and WOW…Impressive!

The construction of the device is VERY solid & professional. It doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy in any way. I don’t plan on doing it, but I feel certain that if I were to drop it on concrete it would be just fine.

It came with a very large array of device tips. I most likely wont use any but the iPhone tip, but it’s good to know they are there if I need them. You really don’t even need the supplied cable & tips as you can use your existing iPhone cable and just plug right into the USB OUT port.

A “wall wart” style power supply is included, but this is necessary to charge this beast. Using the 5 Volt USB port to charge it up would take all day, so they provide an external charger to juice it up fast. It’s powerful too…1 Amp! You can also plug up your phone and charge both simultaneously.

It works as it should. I plugged up my iPhone, hit the power button on the MOJO and “Beep!” charging commenced. I really like the status lights which show your remaining charge as well. Oh…and they even put a hi-intensity LED on the side so it doubles as a flashlight. Nice touch.

The negatives?

1 – It’s large and has some heft to it. Not something you would carry around in your pocket all day. Most likely you will leave it in your car/purse/laptop bag until needed.

2 – It’s EXPENSIVE! But for someone like me who NEEDS lots of extra juice and doesn’t want to carry around multiple batteries, it’s a lifesaver. After using it for a few days, I believe it is well worth the price tag and is REALLY going to come in handy during those long plane flights.

All in all, I give it two thumbs up.

They certainly gave it the right name…this IS “MAJOR MOJO”!

If I tell you will you believe that in our country we have a beverage drink called MOJO which is also called Energy Drink. I think they have got the name from here. What ever, I enjoyed the article and the post is interesting. This is new to me and I would like to try it for my iPhone.

I have used the major mojo to charge my iPhone 3 times without having to recharge the mojo battery and according to the LED there was still some charge left in the battery. The time to fully charge my iPhone seemed to be a little more than an hour but I have to admit I never really timed it that closely.

I am a new customer and I just received my Major Mojo. Just refunded a Mophie Air battery/case so I can get the Major Mojo.

The build quality on the Major Mojo is great. And for my style of use of the iphone, the dongle attached battery works better for me, than a case/battery style, which adds bulk. I am really looking fwd to 3 full charges from each Major Mojo cycle.

Still in the process of charging for my 1st time. Looks like it shipped 70%+ charged. Few questions and comments.

However, I found the instructions a bit confusing and here are my questions:

    1. Are the a,b,c,d,e indicator lights assigned for the Major Mojo capacity or the iphone capacity?

    2. It states in the manual that it recharges both the Major Mojo and the iphone simultaneously. However, it does not charge the iphone while charging the Major Mogo, unless i press the Button, turning the DC Out Light momentarily green, then turning red, to show it is now charging my phone. What i am saying is, it doesnt automatically start charging the phone, as it would plugging in the white oem iphone/usb cable to the wall outlet or a usb port. Please correct me if i am wrong.

    3. I know that the Major Mojo will shut itself off while charging my iphone in transit, once my iphone is 100%. But when i am charging both at night while sleeping, will the major mojo also stop itself from overcharging itself and the iphone, when both are charging via a wall outlet?

    Thx
