NEW 3GJUICE DeLuxe: 100% in 2,5 hours!

October 20, 2008 by

3GJUICE is proud to announce the birth of the newest model, now available at Amazon. It is the 3GJUICE DeLuxe.

Read about it in

A whopping 1800 mAh battery with a new stabile 2A integrated circuit will recharge your iPhone or iPod in only 2,5 hours max. Yes, we got 30 minutes off.

The new version charges your iPhone 3G from 10% to 100% in max 2,5 hrs while you’re on the road. It’s still compact in size and can attach directly to your iPhone without the use of cables. 3GJUICE DeLuxe, available right now through Amazon,  can be used while your iPhone in use. There is no need to remove an iPhone case if it has an opening for the 30 pins connector.

The 3GJUICE DeLuxe can hold a charge for many months when not in use. It has an OFF-button for real shut down. The 1800 mAh battery, strongest clip battery in the world for the iPhone that has no cables.

With intelligent circuit (IC) and printed circuit board to avoid any damage to your iPhone 3G. The IC can handle 2A, most other models only 1A. This enables us to give you a very stable output and excellent battery efficiency. In lab tests, we made 85% efficiency, but hey, it’s only real life that counts. During tests in planes, cars, automobiles and public transport we achieved still 88% efficiency during hot and cold weather.

Not normal Li-On, but Li-Polymer: battery will still be ok after hundreds of charges.

Extra bonus: you can also charge all kinds of other Apple-players with the 3GJUICE DeLuxe: it charges all iPod’s of the third generation or higher (those with 30 pins connectior), the iTouch, the older iPhone (2G), the Nano, the Nano Chromatic (new model), iPod Shuffle, iPod Classic, iPod Video. We’ve two official certifications from Apple which guarantee compatibility. 3GJUICE has the ‘Works with iPhone’ a certification for any device that can be used on an iPhone. 3GJUICE has also the label ‘Made for iPod’, the certification for a device that can be used on a iPod (3th gen and up).

what is the difference between the 1st 3g and this new 2.0??

  2. admin on September 25th, 2008 6:34 am

    Dear Gabriel,

First of all, thanks again for your purchase. The new version has different IC’s and PCB’s, resulting in an even better battery efficiency which means that the energy is still fresh after months. Also we changed the form factor slightly. And we tweaked some other things, like the cap that was in some cases a little too tight.

Basically, the old version powers the iPhone from about 20-30 to 100%, the new version goes from 0% to 100%. For people like you, the first customers, we’re setting up a special discount for any new purchase.

  3. Barend on September 27th, 2008 9:31 am

How many times can you charge an Iphone with one load of the 3gjuice?

  4. admin on September 27th, 2008 1:02 pm

You can load an empty iPhone (dead phone, no battery icon visible yet) to 100% in three hours with 1 3GJUICE. That is what we promise. In most tests, we were able to squeeuze out 20-30% more, so 120-130%. This is the first cableless device for the iPhone 3G that does this. Others, from Solo or Kensington, are 50% less powerfull.

  11. Wally on October 28th, 2008 3:14 am

Does the 3GJuice charge faster from the plugin USB Adapter then it does plugged into a laptop or desktop?

    Thanks.

    Wally

  12. 3gjuice on October 28th, 2008 6:04 am

This is usually true. USB wall charger can charge 3Gjuice quicker,
    compared with laptop/desktop.

An USB wall charger can supply bigger output current, Laptop/desktop's
output current is not guaranteed. A computer need to manage the output
current to make sure power for itself is enough.

I have the Xylo case on my iPhone. I have purchased the 3GJuice, and, of course, it doesn't fit. The case was not made to take off and put on constantly. Any suggestions as to how I can make your battery work?

  14. 3gjuice on November 3rd, 2008 5:03 pm

No, got not a clue. You better return the battery to us and get your money back.

  15. Chris on November 5th, 2008 10:47 pm

I would like to buy two of these products (one for me, and one for my girlfriend). We both use Agent 18 clear cases. Do you know if your battery will fit in the Iphone 3G without taking off the case? Do you have a list of compatible protective cases? Lastly, do you have versions in both black and white? Or black only?

  16. Huub on November 6th, 2008 7:46 pm

I bought and just received the 3GJUICE DeLuxe but received it in a 3GJUICE box
Inside the box is this: 2009 version and a S/N number.

How can I be sure that I got the De Luxe version? There is no indication on the hardware.
    Huub (Netherlands)

  17. 3gjuice on November 7th, 2008 2:43 am

In your box you will find a sticker with the text 'Version 2009' + serial number. This ensures you that you've got the DeLuxe Model with the highest energy efficiency ever. We had to decide: either deliver the new battery or wait till the new box was done. Hope you agree we went for the first. If you want, we can sent you an empty box at the end of the month.

  18. Huub on November 7th, 2008 9:31 am

    No need; I trust you.
    Thanks
    Huub

  19. Joshua on November 19th, 2008 11:57 pm

I just received my 3GJuice ordered from Amazon.com. I ordered two of them. Both of the boxes have stickers on the outside that say 3GJUICE Black 2.0 – 1800mAh are these the DeLuxe versions that they should be?

  20. 3gjuice on November 20th, 2008 1:55 am

Yes. And to be totally sure, look for a sticker inside with the text
'Version 2009' + serial number. If you have that, you've the DeLuxe.

  21. Nick Pauly on November 22nd, 2008 1:09 am

Can I charge the 3GJUICE battery while it is connected to my iPhone.

It would be super convenient to be able to plug the 3GJUICE battery into my iPhone and then plug a mini-usb power cable into the 3GJUICE battery and go to sleep for the night knowing that when I wake up in the morning both my iPhone and my 3GJUICE battery would be fully charged and read to go.

  22. 3gjuice on November 22nd, 2008 3:37 am

For design reasons the usb is not at the back… so sorry. other
customers , those with 2 usb ports, charge the phone and 3gjuice with
2 cables… i'm looking at a device where you can do the same through
the outlet, so you can leave the pc off.

  23. Doug on November 23rd, 2008 9:39 am

I ordered a 3GJUICE Deluxe from Amazon.com. The outside of the box does have a sticker that says “3GJUICE Black 2.0 Iphone Ba…r – 1800mAh”, but there was no sticker inside with the text ” 'Version 2009' + serial number” as you mentioned above. There was no sticker or papers inside at all and no serial number anywhere that I can find. So is there some other way that I can be sure I received the Deluxe version? Thanks.

  24. 3gjuice on November 23rd, 2008 11:03 am

Yes, the barcode of 1800 mAh (Amazon) is the proof. Sorry for all
this, new boxes will be out next month.

  25. Doug on November 23rd, 2008 9:35 pm

Thanks for the clarification — it's working great! I plan to take it on a trip this holiday so I can watch movies on the plane and still have enough juice to call for a ride when I land!

  26. Nicholas on December 27th, 2008 9:17 pm

Would it be possible to implement a more secure design for the next version of your product? I read reviews that the connectors of your product are not secured by any sort of clip which causes it to be prone to damage if any external force is applied.

I'm generally interested and pleased with your product but until a new revision of your product with secure connectors is made, I'll hold back my money.I hope you don't find it offensive. Just stating my views.

    Thanks.

  27. 3gjuice on December 27th, 2008 10:26 pm

    Dear Nicholas,

A secure clip seems such a wise and simple solution, but I have two
problems with it. First, we would loose the official Apple
certification and secondly, if you have a tight clip , heavy force
could really damage your phone or battery..The 3GJUICE battery has 30
pins to attach to the 30 pins of the iPhone so in normal use you won't
have any problems. Heavy external force against iPhone accessories is
not wise, but we designed the battery in such way that it won't break
    you phone…

  28. Nicholas on December 28th, 2008 8:15 am

Oh….alright :) Are there any new versions coming up anytime soon because if there is, I will wait for the new versions.

  29. 3gjuice on December 28th, 2008 9:04 am

    Dear Nicholas,

We're not working on a new version right now. What would be your ideal
    battery, besides the clip?

    Henk

  30. Nicholas on December 28th, 2008 7:32 pm

Well, actually I'm pleased with your product :) Thanks for your replies. :D ..
Price is steep though compared to your other competitors offering same battery life but since you guys are certified by Apple and paid for the certification, I guess the price is reasonable :)

Anyway, just wanted to know, I read an article somewhere stating that the founder of this product stated that most products exaggerate their battery capacity because everyone else is doing it but it did not state whether did he exaggerate it too. Is it?

    Thanks

  38. 3gjuice on February 9th, 2009 11:45 pm

    Aloha,

Yes, we expect no problems. We paid a hefty fee for certification from
Apple, resulting in a certificate for 'Made for iPod' and 'Works with
iPhone'. So you shouldn't be worried about that. We've seen some
reports that non-certified battery extenders do have problems with the
    new update.

When you charge the iTouch with the 3GJUICE, you won't be able to use your headphone connector for 2,5 hours (= time for recharging to 100%). Some customers do like the form factor (small) and love to have a very light and strong battery. They rather have 2,5 hours no audio (during charging) then no audio at all(if you have no back up).

For users like you, we made a different product that uses your own iPod Touch cable. If you want, you can pre order it now, it will be delivered in three weeks. Check:

  43. Alan Somers on March 31st, 2009 10:16 pm

Does this battery do a good job of shielding against the GSM “chirp”? I bought a cheap Chinese battery and any time I'm on the EDGE network, the battery goes nuts. The indicator lights flicker and the iPhone keeps sounding its power-attachment chime over and over while the title bar indicator on the phone goes back and forth between showing fully charged and showing charge-in-progress. If I switch into Airplane mode or have no signal cell signal at all, I don't have the issue. The one I bought was only $12, so I can't complain too much.

  44. 3gjuice on April 2nd, 2009 8:26 am

3GJUICE will work fine for both GSM/EDGE/3G. We have an Apple certification
which means that our battery is tested on all bands.

hello, i have an ipod touch 8g and wondering if the 3gjuice deluxe is good also for overseas long flights especially on gaming to entertain my 2 & 1/2 year old son. the mojo's price is too much for me right now. thanks a lot. have a good ay!

  46. 3gjuice on May 15th, 2009 7:01 am

Any attached device, also the 3GJUICE, blocks the hole for the
headphone. It means your son will have no sound through the headphone
during a charge. (That doesn't happen with the iPhone or iPod). It
could drive you mad when he uses the speaker of the iPhone all the
time:) We are working on a new extension cable to solve this, which
is out in 4-5 weeks..The Major Mojo hasn't this problem. Mail us to
support@3gjuice.com and I'm sure we can work something out for you.

  47. Isabelle on June 2nd, 2009 11:16 pm

Hi. I just got my 3gJuice from Amazon yesterday. I've been testing it out and so far it's going good. I did read below that someone's green light was still on and not showing any signs of energy running out. I am experiencing the same thing. I charged the 3gJuice while it's turned 'OFF”, and I charged my iPod Touch with it in the 'ON' position. I charged overnight thinking the green light would disappear when it was done. But it's been a constant green light with no signs of the battery draining down to where I need to charge it up again. Since it's been hours (6-8 hrs.) I am charging it from my computer while in the off position there is no red light and the moment I plugged in the USB cable, the red light is on signaling that it's charging now. Is it okay for the green light to be lit constantly when it is in the 'on' position? Shouldn't the green light go away when there is nothing in the battery? I want to make sure I maintain the battery and charge when the battery is drained fully to keep the longevity of it going. Please share with me your thoughts. Thanks.

  50. Mark on June 29th, 2009 6:14 pm

How can you tell when the 3GJuice is finished charging? When I plug mine in to the USB charger, no indicator lights (neither red nor green) lights up.

  51. 3gjuice on June 29th, 2009 8:19 pm

The only situation where you won't see any light is when the battery
is OFF and when it's fully loaded. Put it on ON. Does it show a green
    light now?

ceo 3gjuice.com (always reading every mail)

  52. Mark on June 29th, 2009 10:17 pm

It does show the green light when I put it on.

But when I plug it in, I can't tell if it is charging nor can I tell if it has reached full charge state (so I can't tell when it is time to unplug)?

    What am I missing. Thanks!

  53. 3gjuice on June 29th, 2009 10:24 pm

I confess, it's Spartan. Your iPhone will be charged first, so you
will see the battery icon of the iPhone growing. When the 3GJUICE is
exhausted, the green light will go out. It's as simple as that :) How
do you know how long it will last? It doubles the life of your iPhone,
so 100% charge is possible, after that you live on borrowed time
    (about 20% extra energy left)

    Henk

  54. Mark on June 30th, 2009 3:56 am

I think I must have not communicated clearly. Let me try again:

My question: When I plug the 3GJuice into my computer via USB in order to charge the 3GJuice, I am not seeing any indication as to whether the 3GJuice is charged or not. Are the lights supposed to provide an indication as to whether the 3GJuice is receiving a charge? Is it supposed to indicate when the 3GJuice has completed receiving a charge? How do you know when the 3GJuice itself completes its charge?

    Thanks, Mark

  57. redenbaugh on November 22nd, 2009 2:00 am

Do you have a version of the 3GJuice Black 2.0 1800 mAh/2A DeLuxe Version iPhone/ iPod Battery Charger which can be charged using the iPhone charging cable? Or, do we need one charging cable for the iPhone and a different cable to charge the 3GJuice battery?

  58. iphone_development on February 11th, 2010 10:22 am

    redenbaugh,
As far as I know when you buy 3GJUICE you also get mini USB-cable to recharge it. I don't think you can use one cable for both 3GJUICE and Iphone, it's also not nessesary: you charge your 3GJUICE and then charge iPhone with it.
It's pretty convenient. I meen it's always there if you need to recharge your iPhone. It is always unexpected for me, when the screen die away. Also 3GJUICE is pretty small and light. You can buy the Kensington Battery Pack and Charger for iPod. But of course it's larger. So I prefer 3GJUICE.
