So where is your 3G JUICE made? Find out more then you want to know. It’s built by China BAK Battery in Shenzhen, China. The firm was awarded ‘China Top Brand’ in 2007 (no, not every firm in China wins one) and is a NASDAQ company with offices in the US, Canada and Germany. They’ve automated almost every stage of their manufacturing process, like mixing, slurry, coating and winding to ensure a high level of uniformity.

That enables them to built cheap and fast, but the quality is good. Sounds Chinese, doesn’t it? China BAK produces over 2.000.000 battery units per month (2008). Five years earlier, in 2003, they produced ‘only’ 300.000 units each month. Currently they are building a new factory in the industrial park of Tianjin.

Dr. Mao was the inventor under seven U.S. patents related to lithium-ion technology. In December 2006, we also established a wholly-owned subsidiary, BAK Canada, to focus on the research and development of lithium-ion batteries, which comprises a group of experts led by Mr. Kenneth G. Broom, our vice president of International OEM Business, who brings 23 years’ li-ion battery industry working experience
